Cindy Martinez is the director of Undergraduate Advising and Academic Services for the Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism. She attended California State Polytechnic University, Pomona earning a B.S. in Biology. She then went on to receive a Masters of Education in Post-Secondary Administration and Student Affairs at USC and is now working toward her Ph.D. in Leadership Studies at the University of San Diego. Her current research interests include: global leadership, college student leadership programs and development, emotional intelligence, and intercultural competency models.
Cindy is starting her eleventh year of service at USC, including the School of Social Work, the Marshall School of Business, and Annenberg. In addition, she has enjoyed teaching at the Rossier School of Education and being involved with the Annenberg Center on Communication Leadership and Policy (CCLP). As a CCLP Research Associate, Cindy conducts research with the CCLP Scholars and research assistants to develop their leadership capacity through curricular and experiential learning.
