Lauren Weinzimmer
Junior Fellow
Lauren Weinzimmer joined CCLP as a Junior Fellow in August 2011. She is a magna cum laude graduate of USC with Bachelor's degrees in both Communication (with honors) and English Literature.
During her time at USC, Lauren was a research assistant for Faculty Fellow Stacy Smith, co-directed Annenberg Ambassadors, interned at The Norman Lear Center and served on the conference planning committee for the Thematic Option Annual Research Conference. She was one of five Communication students in the class of 2010 to complete an honors thesis, which focused on portrayals of mental illness in independent, art house cinema.
Lauren returned to the Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism to join CCLP after a year working as a Research Associate at a privately-held market research firm in Century City. She plans to pursue doctoral work focusing on media and cultural studies.
