Lauren Allison is a Fulbright Research Fellow and Special Assistant to Mark Latonero, the Director of Research at the Center on Communication Leadership and Policy. She supports Latonero with reports and conferences, and in coordinating research across the center.
Lauren holds an MA in International Relations from The University of St Andrews Scotland and is currently a 2014 Master of Public Diplomacy Candidate at USC Annenberg School for Communication.
During her undergraduate MA, Lauren was part of the Washington-Ireland Program Class of 2008 and interned with Congressman Walsh (25-NY) in the United States Congress. As part of her degree, in 2009-2010, Lauren studied at L’Institut des Études Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) achieving a special mention in International Relations. In 2010, she was awarded a scholarship to study at the Summer School of the Centre for Comparative Conflict Studies at Singidunum University, Belgrade.
Previously, Lauren worked as a Research and Constituency Assistant to Representatives Chris Lyttle MLA and Anna Lo MLA MBE in the Northern Ireland Assembly where she was heavily involved in the founding of the All-Party Group on Human Trafficking.
Lauren is a current recipient of a 2012-13 Fulbright Postgraduate Award and BUNAC Education Scholarship Trust Award for her study at USC. She has most recently been awarded the Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO) International Peace Scholarship 2013-2014.
