CCLP Research Director Mark Latonero participated in the Workshop on Data & Technology in Trafficking on Wednesday, July 25, which was convened by The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and The White House Council on Women and Girls.

The participants brainstormed how technology can be used in innovative ways to combat the sex trafficking of minors online.

The workshop was led by Todd Park (left), the U.S. Chief Technology Officer, and Tina Tchen (right), the Chief of Staff to the First Lady of the United States and Executive Director of the White House Council on Women & Girls.

Attendees included technology experts, advocates, law enforcement, trafficking survivors and senior government officials.

“The meeting brought together a group of dedicated individuals seeking to leverage technology to counter the commercial sexual exploitation of children,” Latonero said.
