The USC Election Cybersecurity Initiative received the 2021 Stanley F. Reed Award for Best Civic Education Resource for its work in the 2020 election. Given by Campaign and Elections magazine, the Reed Awards recognize outstanding work in political campaigning and public affairs. USC’s Google-supported initiative, led by the USC Annenberg Center on Communication Leadership and Policy, hosted nonpartisan workshops in all 50 states training campaigns, election officials, and policymakers to protect local and state elections. This year, the initiative will present ten regional workshops for an average of five states each.
