The Annenberg Center on Communication Leadership & Policy is pleased to welcome USC Professor Christina Bellantoni, Director of the Annenberg Media Center, as its newest Faculty Fellow. Before joining USC, Professor Bellantoni was the assistant managing editor for politics at the Los Angeles Times where she spearheaded the expansion of the California politics team and led detailed coverage of the state’s capital and congressional delegation. Under her leadership, the team earned recognition for its hard-hitting coverage and diversified storytelling.
“We are delighted that Professor Bellantoni has agreed to join our team,” CCLP Director Geoffrey Cowan said. “She is one of the most knowledgeable political journalists in America and will bring tremendous depth to CCLP’s research and events.”
Before joining the Los Angeles Times, Bellantoni spent 12 years covering politics in Washington, D.C. as editor-in-chief at Roll Call, political editor at PBS NewsHour, and covering politics for both Talking Points Memo and the Washington Times. She was also a fellow at Harvard’s Institute of Politics.
At USC, she remains a frequent guest on television and radio, including NPR, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, and HBO. You can catch Bellantoni providing political commentary at CCLP’s next event, the Midterm Election Night Watch Party.
