In surveys conducted before and after the November 2024 election, CCLP Senior Fellow Roberto Suro explored how Latino voters made their choices for president. Across a range of topics including group identity, immigration policy and gender roles, his report illuminates how Harris and Trump voters differ from each other. The report also delves into the large share of Latinos who may have decided the election by staying home as well as the special characteristic of the many Latino males who joined the MAGA movement.
Suro, USC professor emeritus of journalism and public policy, will lead an online discussion by some of the country’s leading researchers on Latino politics on Wednesday, April 2. RSVP here: https://annenberg.usc.edu/events/cclp/why-did-latino-voters-vote-way-they-did
