U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, in conversation with author and journalist Ellis Cose, led students in a conversation on civic engagement, transcending polarization, and the importance of young people’s involvement in addressing the challenges facing democracy today.
The virtual forum was presented by Renewing American Democracy, a project of the University of Southern California’s Annenberg Center on Communications Leadership & Policy and Long Island University’s Roosevelt School, dedicated to engaging and elevating the voices of people often left out of the national conversation about one of the most pressing issues of our time.
